As part of Oatlands Park's centenary celebrations, the Club took on a specially-invited team from Bowls Surrey on Monday. It was a lovely day, the weather was perfect and as expected, we got thoroughly thrashed 72 - 132 ! But it was great to have all 6 rinks full with 48 players - and standing room only for the spectators. Everyone retired to the Oatlands Village Hall afterwards for a reception generously hosted by Howard Quinnell who put on an amazing spread while Robin Fudge gave an entertaing speech lauding Oatlands Park Bowling Club.
A special highlight of the day was the award of the Leopard Trophy - a high County honour awarded to persons who have given outstanding service to their club - to Keith Pollington (pictured above). A well deserved recognition of his devotion to Oatlands Park over the years!
